The Ballymacomb Shoe

This simpler pattern is from Ballymacomb in County Derry, Ireland. It dates from 700-900 A.D. To construct, enlarge the pattern to fit and cut out of your chosen material. Sew up the center front seam and then one at the heel as shown in the illustration. The original of this shoe had tooled decorations on the surface (Do it before you sew the shoe together).
