This particular project was intended to be a 12" tall doumbek. As you can see, the wheel had other plans. I was most disappointed with the 30% shrinkage. Oh, well...you can still whale away on it! It was thrown in '95 and has a really nice tone to it, though due to its size it isn't really that loud. The head is goatskin, about 8" across, and overall height is about 8 inches. I sold this on ebay in '98. |
