To my knowledge there is no documentation that supports this chair as being remotely medieval, but it does seem to blend well with earlier period encampments. The painting is the household badge as portrayed in the "early days". I used a water-based cherry-colored stain on pine, and the heraldry is done with oil based paint. </p> The chair was built in 1997 and sold in the SCA yard sale in 2003. The photo was taken in 2009.</p> <hr> <i>Click on thumbnail to enlarge image. </i><br> <center><table border=0><width=900> <tr> <td align="center"><a href="vchair01a.png"> <img src="vchair01a.png" width=200 border=0></a></td> <td align="center"><a href="vchair01b.png"> <img src="vchair01b.png" width=200 border=0></a></td> <td align="center"><a href="vchair01c.png"> <img src="vchair01c.png" width=200 border=0></a><br><i>(Color enhanced to show detail)</i></td> </tr></table> </center> <hr> <a href="http://www.housebarra.com">Home</a></p> <a href="http://www.housebarra.com/projects">Projects</a></p> </center> </body> </html>
